Aileen began studying photography in 2003 for her eighth grade independent learning project. Under the mentorship of Christopher Burkett, she learned the basics of nature and landscape photography. She started primarily on slide film and a Minolta XD-11 and has since migrated to DSLRs; she currently shoots with a Canon EOS 80D and Rebel T2i.
